For now, please enjoy recent funny conversations/phrases, courtesy of my children. :)
Camel-flage {Recent trip to Chad's deer stand}
J: "I'll wear my "camel" (meaning "camo") shoes. That way, I'll scare the camels away & they won't bother the deer."
Note to self: Take J to zoo again very soon. Show him the camel habitat. LOL! :)
Night Shift
J randomly walked into my room, one night, came toward me & kissed my arm. I thought he was walking in his sleep, but no. I whispered, "J, what are you doing?" He bent his right arm up, at the elbow, then threw his forearm forward...pointing at me & saying, "I came to kiss YOU, because I just love ya!" He even remembered everything the next morning.
The past two nights, L has walked/talked in his sleep. Creepy city. All of a sudden, I found him in the hallway...the living room...the kitchen. This faraway look was in his eyes & he said things I couldn't always understand. The first night, he mumbled something & eventually said, "I think I painted a bunny, today." {He had taken a painting class earlier that day...only they painted eagles}. The following night, he was up searching for a friend he had just seen earlier that evening. Later, he was walking AGAIN. "I think you're walking in your sleep, Honey," I said. He calmly replied, "No." Kind of like: Nice try, Mom, but that's not it.
Foiled Again
J: "Can I have a snack?"
Me: "Sure. An apple, grapes, cheese stick...something like that."
J: "That's not exactly what I had planned."
Once Upon a Snack
Me: "What did you have for snack, at school, today?
J: "Porridge."
Me: "Did you just say, porridge?"
J: "Yeah. The Three Bears left it for us."
Lollipop, lollipop
J: "I'm ready for my snack. Can I have one of those dummies?"
Me: "You mean dum-dums."
