Family!

February 17th-19th, my brother & his sweet family came for a visit.  The kids were awesome all weekend & we enjoyed having everyone here.  All of the boys did lots of belly laughing, and my niece kept everyone entertained by playing her 2 favorite hip hop hits...over and over again.  The funny thing:  All of the adults would randomly start singing the songs, because they were stuck like glue in our heads.

Instead of a long, written post, how about some digitally captured highlights?  I should have also taken a picture of Chad's BBQ.  The guy could enter BBQ contests; it's always SO delicious!  Also, I did not snap a photo of the guy who brought his visibly strong pitbull to the children's playground area.  So happy there was a sign that said only service dogs were allowed inside the playground area.  Phew!  Just so grandma's nerves don't get rattled, I won't mention that the same pitbull was suddenly seen off its leash, while we were in another area of the city park.  This encouraged us to cut our visit to the park a little short...I mean, if the whole pitbull event even happened.  ;)

Snug as bugs in a rug

...and they were out like lights ten minutes later

J & his cousin dressing up like superheroes

They were like kids in a candy store.

Bought pre-sliced, sugar cookie dough & baked them in a muffin pan.
Cooled & added lemon curd & whipped cream.
Like little mini lemon pies.
YUM!

Cousins watching a movie.
Directly behind the kids, you can see the tent Chad made.
L was super impressed with the tent.
He asked if there is a class he could take to improve his own tent-making skills.

Before making it to the tent, my niece & nephew fell asleep.
Cuties!

Swinging at the park

These boys have so much fun together.
Blessed.  :)

Swinging is her favorite.

My brother "surfing" on some playground equipment.

Just to prove the moms were present.  :)

The following photos were taken while on a short hike.
