Five Little Kittens

So, our neighbor's outdoor cat had kittens.  Since their kids caused a bit of a commotion around the kitties, the momma moved her babies four times.  The final stop was under our house, in our fenced-in backyard.  Little less commotion, when there is the barrier of a fence...except for when they ask to see their kittens.  At least, for the most part, the feline family can have a little quiet.

The neighbors collected the kittens, in a tub, & tried to take them back to their house, but that didn't last long.  Momma swiftly returned them to the cozy safeness of our backyard.  She is all about that fence, I'm guessing.

So, there they continue live...going through cycles of sleeping in a soft, furry heap & clumsily exploring their surroundings.  One became a little too courageous & did a sky-diving maneuver into the nearby window well.  Thankfully, it is ok.  And, if I never have to crawl into that dirty, probably spidery, hole again, it will be too soon.  So, they can't live under my house forever.

I'm also blaming them for distracting me from everything that needs to be done inside the house.  They're just too cute!!
